Danram bats Warriors to title

Transcend Entertainment Inaugural KO Tournament

Omesh Danram dominated Transcend Entertainment Inaugural Knockout Tapeball Tournament to steer Alexander Village Warriors to the title last Sunday at the National Cultural Centre Tarmac.
Danram blasted 57 not out, his third fifty of the tournament, in a big hitting fest as Warriors prevailed by 24 runs over Outlaws.

Batting first the eventual winners posted 89-4 from five overs in the seven a-side affair, before they restricted their opponents to 65-2.
In his team’s four innings to the title only once the right handed Danram failed to reach a half century. He made 49 in that outing.
For his dominance throughout the competition he was awarded the most valuable player, best batsman and player of the final.
The tournament started on June 18 but due to bad light the final was rescheduled to Sunday, June 25.
The organisers extended gratitude to Regal Stationery and Computer Supplies, Banks DIH, Church’s Chicken, Star Party Rentals, National Sports Commission, Seepaul’s Sports Bar and Seeta’s Sports Bar, Imperial Trading, Movement Auto Rental, Xavier’s Investments, Precision Auto Works, Leading Edge and Squires Realty, all of which have contributed in some department for the tournament a reality.
