It was an excellent day for the champions, who made light work of their opponents as they recorded a 10 wicket win at the GCC ground, Bourda.
The host batted first and were bundled out for 69 runs in 22 overs in a game that was reduced to 28 overs per side. National youth player, Sherfane Rutherford claimed three wickets while experience player Antonnel Atwell collected two scalps in a supportive role.
Martin Pestano Belle top scored with 23 while Devon Lord scored 19 in the lower order for the host, who had they worst outing of the tournament after a series of quality performances in the group stage.
At the half way stage a win was more imminent for the visitors than at the start of the match, especially with the number of talented players that were included in their squad. They wasted little time and during the 13th over of their innings they won the match.
Emerging talent, 14 year old Sachin Singh looked developed beyond his age as he hit three thunderous sixes to go along with three well timed fours to remain unbeaten on 43 while his opening partner and national under-19 player Raymond Perez played the supporting role in his innings of 23 not out.
With the win DCC remained unbeaten in the tournament and are still favourites to win successive titles. They will now await the winner of semifinal two between Transport Sports Club (TSC) and Everest Cricket Club which is expected to be played this weekend weather permitting.
