DCC hails ACE Academy selections for 2 young stars

Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) has publicly congratulated two of Guyana’s brightest young cricket prospects, Lomar Seecharran and Nathan Bishop, following their acceptance into the prestigious ACE Cricket Academy programme in London.
In separate posts published on the club’s official social media pages, DCC celebrated the achievements of both players, describing their selections as a reward for years of dedication, discipline and outstanding performances on the field.
The club highlighted Seecharran’s impressive rise through the ranks, noting that he has established himself as one of Guyana’s standout young batters. Among his achievements are a historic youth century and leading the Guyana under-16 team as Captain. The DCC stated that his acceptance into the ACE Cricket Academy reflects “the rewards of dedication and perseverance”.
The club also extended its best wishes for his future, adding that everyone at the DCC and International SOS looks forward to seeing him continue his development, concluding the post with the message, “The work continues. The best is yet to come.”
In a separate social media post, DCC recognised the accomplishments of Nathan Bishop, another emerging talent who has earned a place in the ACE Cricket Academy programme based at the iconic Kia Oval in London.

Lomar Seecharran

The club praised Bishop’s performances at the youth level, highlighting his multiple centuries in Under-15 cricket, including a commanding 140 in the Demerara Cricket Board Inter-Association competition. His consistent performances also earned him opportunities in representative cricket.
According to DCC, Bishop’s selection is “a testament to his dedication, hard work, and commitment to continuous improvement”.
The club expressed its pride in the young cricketer’s achievement, stating that everyone at Demerara Cricket Club and International SOS is excited to watch him continue to develop both on and off the field. The post ended with the encouraging message, “The journey is just beginning. Keep raising the standard.”
The ACE Cricket Academy has become an important pathway for talented young cricketers, providing high-performance coaching and development opportunities in England.
