A 29-year-old vendor of De Kinderen, West Coast Demerara (WCD) has been busted with 3.3 grams of cocaine in her possession.
It has been reported that Police ranks were on patrol at Parika, EBE on Wednesday at about 11:30h when a corporal who was on the patrol observed the woman standing on the Parika main roadway.
The cocaine that was found in the woman’s possession
The ranks approached the woman and requested to carry out a search on a bag she had in her possession. The woman consented, and then reached into the bag and took out a small, transparent Ziplock plastic bag containing a quantity of a small, whitish, rock-like substance resembling cocaine.
The Police have said the woman then handed over the transparent Ziplock plastic bag to the corporal. She was later arrested and escorted to the Parika Police Station, where the 32 pellets in the bag were weighed and amounted to 3.3 grams.
The 29-year-old woman is in custody, pending charges. (G9)
