Decomposed body found in GRA parking lot

The decomposed body of a male was on Tuesday morning found in a clump of bushes in the parking lot of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA), Camp and Lamaha Streets, Georgetown.
The body is yet to be identified. It was clad in a green jersey, cream long pants, and a pair of black long boots.
Based on reports received, the discovery was made about 08:00h by a civilian who noticed a stench emanating from the area. The Police were called in and an investigation was launched. After some time, a crowd had gathered to get a glimpse of the body as it was being moved.
The body did not have any marks of violence. It was taken to the Lyken Funeral Parlour to await identification and a post-mortem.
