Diaspora donates mattresses to flood victims

The New York-based diaspora has once again donated a number of items to assist Guyanese who have suffered from the ongoing flooding due to the present heavy downpours.
New York-based businessman, Chief Samsair from Bakewell Inc and Imam Safraz Bacchus from Masjid Al Abidin, both from Richmond Hill, Queens, have collaborated and procured 100 mattresses from Comfort Sleep Company.
The 100 mattresses were delivered to the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG). The CIOG, on behalf of Chief Samsair and Masjid Al Abidin, will be handing over the mattresses to the CDC in Guyana.
