Directors of Archery Guyana paid a courtesy call on Minister of Social Cohesion, Dr. George Norton at his Main Street office Wednesday last. During the visit, discussions were centered around Archery Guyana’s plans for the future where a proposal for a Junior Archery Programme, a Schools Programme and Para-Archery Propgramme were mooted. The local body also have plans for more Outreach Programmes.

The directors also took the opportunity to give the Honourable Minister an update on the progress of Archery Guyana. Early in the new year, Archery Guyana will be hosting an International Olympic Coach for 10 days to conduct a coaching clinic. Persons interested in becoming involved in the sport are urged to do so that they can learn and be able to benefit from the said Coaching. The Minister expressed his commitment to working with Archery Guyana and stated that he looks forward to promoting and developing the novel sport in Guyana.
