“Dragz War 2” slated for October 2

The smoke and tyre burn will return to the tracks at the South Dakota Circuit come October 2 for the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC) International Meet “Dragz War 2”.
Only recently, neighbouring Suriname hosted some of the local dragsters who preformed outstandingly, winning most of the titles on offer.

In May, at South Dakota, Azurdeen Mohammed stole the show in his Nissan Skyline GTR. Mohamed recorded the fastest time of the day, dipping below the nine second barrier in the A-class unlimited category, in the event that utilized the Time Bracket Elimination system.
In the B-class (9 seconds), Surinamese Ryan Chakwi was the most outstanding, while the C-Class (10 seconds) saw another Surinamese Ashian Cajaran being the top driver.
For the D-class (11 seconds), Raymond John of Suriname stood out but local boy Sachin Ramotor broke the Dutch dominance with top performance in the E-class category (12 seconds).
Parmand Ramchara of Suriname was deemed the was top driver in the F – Class (13 seconds) while the Guyanese duo of Steve Rayanauth and Issac Ramchaita finished above the rest in the G-class (14 seconds) and H-class (15 seconds) respectively.
In the motor cycle category, Suriname sped-off with bragging rights in both divisions, as Giovanny Slayveer (600 cc) and Toin Gumperts (1000 cc) were the top riders.
The price of admission is children $500 and adults $1000 and the event is Sponsored by GTT, Fly Jamaica and Ansa Mcal.
