Duo charged for breaking into home and stealing tyres

Senior Magistrate Leron Daly on Monday granted two men bail after they were jointly charged for breaking and entering a home in Region One (Barima-Waini) and stealing several tyres.
Derick Persaud, 36, of Mabaruma Compound, Region One, and his alleged accomplice, Leon Singh of Kumaka Water Front, Region One, were charged with breaking into and entering the house of Earl Inniss and stealing seven tyres valued $140,000.
Attorney-at-Law Adrian Thompson made successful applications for the men. While no facts relating to the matter were presented, Police Prosecutor Sanj Singh did not object to bail.
The men were placed on $60,000 bail each. The case will continue on January 21, 2019.
