Everything Makes Craft kick starts Easter celebrations

Everything Makes Craft kick started the Easter celebrations this year as it hosted its third annual Easter event, the Bunny Fun Day, on Sunday.
The family-oriented event, which was hosted at the Promenade Gardens, included exciting games and a series of activities to awaken the Easter spirit, especially for young enthusiasts.

The fun day attracted scores of families, particularly those with young adventurous minds. Scattered across the Gardens were stations for egg hunts, sack races, Easter hat designing and egg painting, along with various other games, exhibitions and refreshment stalls. Attracting the majority of the attention, however, was the featured Arts and Craft Competition.
The main event catered for children in three categories, starting from the age of five, all the way to 16. The participants were provided with materials, which included cardboard, bottles, boxes, foam, glitter and paint, as well as other little bits and pieces to create imaginative upcycled works of art. Upon closure of the event, the creative pieces were all reviewed and assessed by a panel of judges, after which prizes were awarded to the best designs within each of the three categories. Among the prizes were trophies, hampers and gadgets, along with other eye-catching rewards.
The event also provided a marketing opportunity for businesses within the field of events planning and organising, as several party supplies entities and caterers were present to showcase their works.
Everything Makes Craft is an entrepreneurial movement to bring upcycling to the forefront of the minds of Guyanese. This event was one in the list of initiatives undertaken by this entity, to promote family-oriented innovative arts and craft while advocating for the proper use and protection of the environment. For the past three years, the business has been joining in the efforts to celebrate Easter, by hosting Bunny Fun Day in Guyana.
