Fans thrilled at CMRC machines

Momentum is picking up strongly as the final leg of the Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) gets closer and anxious fans enjoyed a preview of what they can expect on the track this weekend.
Friday evening Motor biker Kevin Persaud, Mohamed’s Enterprise three motor bikes and one of Calvin Ming’s radicals left flockers of the Giftland Mall in amazement.

Fans and curious onlookers took the opportunity to interact with the riders and also took the opportunity to take photos. Many passers-by enquired of the functioning of the super machines as well as the risks the drivers take to compete.
The championship action at the South Dakota will be largely different this year after the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) unveiled a 27-race programme which will encompass racing this Saturday and Sunday.

The club has confirmed the participation of two professional drift cars from Trinidad and Tobago, as well as, four SR-3 Radicals from Barbados, in addition to the Caribbean Motor Racing Championship(CMRC) competitors that are expected.
Saturday, will be treated as just another race day, with adults being charged $1000 per entry and children 12 -18 being charged $500. On Sunday, adults will be charged $2000 and children 12-18, $1000.
Qualification will also be held on Saturday morning from 10:00, with races beginning from 14:00. Scrutineering will take place on Thursday and Friday, and before the qualification on Saturday.
There are weekend passes and VIP passes available for those patrons desirous of viewing both days of action.
