A farmer of Enmore, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was arrested after he was found in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition.

The unlicensed firearm and a magazine with 10 live rounds of ammunition

Police confirmed that the unlicensed pistol with ten live rounds of ammunition were found concealed at the premises of the 68-year-old Log Wood resident.
The discovery was made after Police received information. Just about a week ago, a welder was allegedly found with an illegal firearm and matching ammunition at the check-in counter at the Eugene F Correia International Airport, Ogle, ECD.
The man, identified as Terrence Baker, 32, of 3715 North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, on February 17, 2020, at the Trans Guyana check-in counter at the Eugene F Correia International Airport, had in his possession one .32 pistol without being the holder of a firearm license.
