Firefighters of the Guyana Fire Service are currently attempting to contain a blaze in one of Guyana’s busiest shopping districts.
A Department Store on Regent Street, Georgetown is currently on fire. The origin of the fire, at this time, is currently unknown. The incident occurrent just after 21:00h at the Store located between in the vicinity of Sachi’s Store – which was also recently destroyed by fire.
The fire has completely destroyed the Store.
