The inaugural Banks Beer T20 knock out Festival begins today at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground in Good Success with eight male and two female teams vying for over 0,000 in cash and prizes.
Action gets underway at 14:00h with four matches expecting to be played on the opening day which will be followed by the semi finals and final on Sunday under lights.
Among the teams expected to take part are G Square Cavaliers, Good Success, Maria’s Pleasure, Sans Souci, Sans Souci Jaguars, Zeelandia and Noitgedacht.
There will be several other activities including dominoes and attraction for the children. Patrons are asked to bring out the entire family to see the likes of West Indies U19 World Cup winner Keemo Paul, Ricardo Adams, Nokta Moses, Wayne Osbourne, Navishaul Pooran, Imran Khan, Zameer Zaman and Beesham Moses in action.
Entertainment will be provided by Vicious Vibes Sound System and deejays from Georgetown and Essequibo Coast.
Additionally, several promotions are planned and Virgin Promotions mascot will be on hand to distribute novelties to spectators.
