Fung excited to defend title this Sunday at Seniors Bodybuilding Championships

The absolutely sensational Rosanna Fung will this Sunday be defending her Miss Bikini title at the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation-hosted Seniors Bodybuilding Championships for 2021.

Over the years, Fung has proven to be one of the most dominant athletes in that category of the competition.
Many ladies have competed in the Miss Bikini category, but unarguably none has ever come close enough to even contemplate overthrowing Fung for that particular title.

In an exclusive interview with this publication, the statuesque Fung was asked her view on defending her title, and the imposing athlete replied, “I’m super excited for this show, considering I’ll be defending my title; though I must say I do have a little bit of stage jitters, but only the usual amount. Would I love to train without a mask? Yes, of course, but it hasn’t held my physique back in any way or shape, so I’m doing my due diligence and following the protocols put in place, and putting in that work.”
In terms of her current package, the talented Fung has said she is very proud of her current physique. She relayed that she has taken all the critiques from the judges at CAC and worked on her weak areas, especially on bringing down her quads.
Fung has said she is proud of where she is, although noting that there’s always room for improvement. “After my last show in San Salvador, I spent a week in Miami, eating everything I could get my hands on. So, most naturally, I gained quite a few pounds coming back to Guyana. My prep for this show began with a tough couple of weeks, but considering the fact that I had been prepping for competitions for the better half of the year, I didn’t have that much building to do; just a few minor tweaks here and there, along with being in a caloric deficit (burning more calories that I consume) and keeping my water intake high,” Fung posited.
Fung has relayed to her fans that, if you don’t believe you can do it, then you’ve already lost. she urges them not to doubt themselves, and to stop holding themselves back, as “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”.
Among the accolades Fung has won in the Miss Bikini category are: The Miss Bikini Novice 2019 Championship, the Seniors 2019 Championship, placing 2nd at the Stage of Champions 2019 event, the 2020 edition of the Resilience Bodybuilding Championship. She also copped bronze in the CAC Championship in 2021 in El Salvador.
Approximately 30 athletes would be competing in the different segments of the championships: Bodybuilding, Bikini, and Men’s Physique categories.
