Police in Regional Division Three found a quantity of suspected cannabis during an operation conducted on Saturday at Westminster Last Bridge, West Bank Demerara (WBD). According to police, the discovery was made between 17:00h and 17:15h during an exercise in the area. Ranks searched a flat structure located south of a wash bay and found a brown cardboard box containing leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis.
The narcotic was taken to the La Parfaite Harmonie Police Station, where it was weighed and amounted to 118 grams before being lodged. No arrests have been made. Police said investigations are ongoing.
