The Guyana Beach Volleyball Association (GBVA), in collaboration with the Ogle Fitness and Conditioning Gym, has launched its Elite High-Performance Beach Volleyball Programme 2026, aimed at preparing athletes for higher-level competition while improving their overall physical and technical performance.
The six-week programme is designed to provide participants with a combination of strength and conditioning, agility training, technical development and tournament preparation.
Training sessions will be held on Fridays from 18:00h to 20:00h, focusing on gym-based strength and power training. Saturdays will feature gym-based conditioning and recovery sessions from 13:00h to 15:00h, while Sundays will be dedicated to sand-based agility and volleyball-specific conditioning from 14:00h to 17:30h.
According to the GBVA, the programme will feature pro-level coaching, strength and agility training, sand skills and drills, and tournament preparation, giving athletes an opportunity to sharpen their skills while developing the physical attributes required for competitive beach volleyball.

The programme is open to a maximum of 10 participants per session, allowing for more focused coaching and individual attention.
GBVA-affiliated members will be able to participate free of charge, while non-affiliated participants will pay $1000 per session.
The initiative is expected to benefit players seeking to improve their game intelligence, conditioning and technical abilities as the Association continues to develop beach volleyball at a higher competitive level in Guyana.
The GBVA is encouraging interested players to register early, with limited spaces available.
Persons seeking additional information or wishing to register can contact the Association at 753-6003.
The programme carries the slogan: Train Elite. Play Elite. Perform Elite.
