Kool Kidz Football Festival returns with nationwide grassroots push

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) and Guyana Beverages Inc have renewed their partnership for the fourth edition of the Kool Kidz Football Festival, which will provide boys and girls between the ages of six and 11 with organised football activities across Guyana during August.
The 2026 festival will be staged through the GFF’s nine Regional Football Associations (RFAs), with each association scheduled to conduct five days of activities before the end of the month.
The initiative is aimed at introducing young children to football in a structured, enjoyable and inclusive setting while continuing the expansion of grassroots development throughout the country.
Ahead of the rollout, each RFA has received new football equipment to assist with the delivery of the programme. Cases of Kool Kidz beverages have also been distributed to the Associations as part of the support provided by Guyana Beverages Inc.

Now entering its fourth year, the festival has become one of the GFF’s avenues for taking organised football directly into communities and giving children an early opportunity to become involved in the sport.
The programme will cater to both boys and girls, with the Federation hoping the activities will help youngsters develop an early appreciation for the game while strengthening the base from which future players can emerge.
According to the Federation, player welfare will also remain an important part of the festival. Safeguarding officers will be involved in the activities to help ensure participating children are provided with a safe, welcoming and positive environment.
The GFF expressed appreciation to Guyana Beverages Inc for continuing its partnership and supporting the expansion of grassroots football around the country.
With nine RFAs involved and five days of activities scheduled in each area, the 2026 Kool Kidz Football Festival is expected to provide numerous opportunities for children across Guyana to participate in the sport during August.
