GFF participates in CONCACAF Professional Football Development workshop

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has participated in a two-day CONCACAF Professional Football Development workshop held in Panama City, Panama over the period September 23–24, 2019.

GFF is being represented therein by Club Licensing Manager and Acting General Secretary Ian Alves.
According to CONCACAF, the workshop will serve “as a platform to provide Member Associations with comprehensive information on professional football matters.” Among those matters will be formal training on the new Club Licensing Model on COMET, CONCACAF club competition updates, and best practices from around the world relative to infrastructure and stadium accessibility.
COMET, which is the Competition Management Expert System, is a football management system aimed at improving the planning, management, and execution of CONCACAF’s football operations, including refereeing, competition management, inventory, accreditation and club licensing.
The workshop has been attended by Club Licensing Managers from CONCACAF Member Associations.
