Golden Om’s Phagwah Mela and Bazaar for Monday at Rose Hall Community Centre
The Golden Om Dharmic Youth Organization will be involved in a number of activities leading up to Phagwah Day, which will be celebrated on Monday, March 13.
Its Phagwah Mela and Bazaar will be held on Saturday at the Rose Hall Community Centre (welfare) ground in East Canje, Berbice from 15:00h. Anticipated to be a breathtaking programme, there will be featured finalists and top performers of recent and previously held Emerging Voices competition, among whom would be Karamchand Sugrim, Tejyas Singh and Aamir Khan. The very enthralling Guyanese singer Sadhna Outar is slated to perform, as are other local Guyanese artistes.

The Golden Om Dharmic Dance Group would also be performing a number of spectacular dances choreographed by its talented and vibrant dancers, and a dramatic piece is to be staged by its skillful youths.
Moreover, a katahar curry competition will have participants cooking on spot to be judged for quality.
Numerous food stalls will be selling delicious finger licking traditional sweet meats, and besides face painting and mehendi booths, there will be a wide variety of games and Phagwah items available.
The Golden Om Dharmic Youth Organization looks forward to receiving generous support for this event as holi, the festival of colours, is celebrated.
