Golden start for Ramdhani as he cops Singles and Mixed Doubles

Guyanese Badminton star Narayan Ramdhani has made a solid start to the fresh Badminton season, as he copped gold in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Badminton Championships in Canada.
Playing at King’s University, Guyana’s top-seeded player copped the Men’s Singles title and then teamed up with Abigail Ledda to win the Mixed Doubles.
During the Singles competition, top seed Ramdhani drew a bye in the opening round, before defeating David Jay 21-12, 21-14 and then thumping Brandon Gendre 21-5, 21-6.
The final was a clash of the top two seeds, and it was Ramdhani who reigned supreme with a 21-12, 15-21, 21-19 win against Smit Patel.
In the Mixed Doubles, Ramdhani and Ledda gained a bye in the first round. They then defeated Aakash Panchal and Erica Jorgensen 21-4, 21-10. In the final against Smit Patel and Ivy Ung, Ramdhani and Ledda gained a walkover.
