“GTT Super 6-Over” Inter-Ministry Tape ball competition set for this weekend

The Georgetown Office Assistants will stage the “GTT Super 6-Over” Inter-Ministry Tape ball cricket competition this weekend at Durban Park from 11am daily.

Arranged by longstanding sports coordinator James Lewis, the event has received permission from the National COVID-19 Task Force, a release has stated.
Lewis has said in a statement, “We expect to bring players together to foster more cohesiveness within sports and in the work place. We want to bring them together to enjoy themselves after hard work. The COVID-19 guidelines, I just want to stress on that, that is the most important thing for this competition; it must be in place. All players must come with their mask, sanitising station setup, and follow all guidelines. The same applies to the spectators. We are not allowing (any) player who is not vaccinated to participate in the competition.”
Teams must be at the competition site at least half an hour before play in order to register. COVID guidelines will be observed.
