Gun-toting men rob Parika bar

Police in D Division (West Bank Demerara-East Bank Essequibo) have nabbed three men after they carried out a daring robbery on a bar owner and two of her customers at Parika, East Bank Essequibo (EBE).
Reports are the men pounced on the bar at about 22:20h on Tuesday. Guyana

The items which were recovered

Times understands that the bandits drove up in a motorcar and walked into the bar where they attacked the owner and the customers.
The men demanded that customers handed over their valuables. A laptop, three cellphones and an undisclosed sum of cash were taken before one of the bandit proceeded to discharge a round in the air. He later boarded the same vehicle in which they arrived that sped off from the scene.
Following the robbery, the Police were immediately informed. Swift action led to the escape car along with two of the perpetrators being apprehended at Cornelia Ida, West Coast Demerara.
The third suspect was later apprehended in a minibus in the vicinity of the Demerara Harbour Bridge. He was found to be in possession of the stolen items

along with firearms, ammunition and two torches.
The men are said to be residents of Albouystown, Georgetown; Best Village, WCD; and Diamond, East Bank Demerara. Investigations are continuing.
