Gunmen rob man of motorcycle at traffic light

A 25-year-old motorcyclist is left counting his losses after he was robbed of his motorcycle and cash at Eccles Public Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
The Police say that Romain Legay of La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara (WCD) was proceeding south along the Eccles Public Road on Tuesday, when he stopped at the Eccles traffic light. The suspects then proceeded in a northerly direction of the East Bank Public Road and made good their escape.
Legay was later taken to the East Ruimveldt Police Station, and was subsequently escorted to the Georgetown Public Hospital to seek medical attention. No arrest has been made. Police have since said that an investigation is in progress.
