Gunmen storm, rob WBD mini-mart

The Police have launched a manhunt for two armed men who executed a daring robbery on the NV Mini Mart at First Avenue, La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara (WBD) on Wednesday evening.
Based on information received, two men – one armed with a handgun – walked into the establishment at about 18:45h and went straight to the 23-year-old cashier. They reportedly held her at gunpoint and confiscated an undisclosed sum of cash, a quantity of phone cards, and her personal items, including her mobile phone and jewellery. Thereafter, the men exited the establishment and made good their escape.
The shaken cashier, a resident of Dairy Farm, West Bank Demerara (WBD), raised and alarm and the Police were contacted. Statements were taken and an investigation was launched. No arrest has as yet been made.
