The three-day competition, first held in 1967, will bring together young athletes from Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana across eight sporting disciplines: athletics, aquatics, basketball, futsal, volleyball, chess, judo and boxing.
Guyana will participate in seven of the eight disciplines, with judo being the only event in which the country will not compete.
The Inter-Guiana Games provide a valuable platform for young athletes to gain international experience, showcase their talents and develop their skills while strengthening sporting ties among the three territories.
Guyana’s participation is being funded by the Government of Guyana through the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and the National Sports Commission.
