Guyana fold meekly in beach volleyball

Guyana opened the first day of the National Beach Volleyball tournament with a defeat at the Hands of Suriname and French Guiana, when the action spiked off on Friday evening in Nickeri, Suriname.

The Guyanese pair of Luen David and Ray Moore played well in the first encounter against Suriname, losing 13-21 before going down 19-21 to French Guiana. David and Moore rebounded beating the Suriname pair 21 to 13 in the third match.
The opening night of competition got worse when the other Guyana team, the pair of Devindra Latchman and Samuel Fraser went down 14 -21 at the hands of Suriname before going down to French Guiana 19-21.
The competitions will culminate today.
