Guyana records 74 new COVID-19 cases

The Ministry of Heath is reporting that Guyana has recorded an addition 74 cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) taking the total recorded cases to 1029 since the first case was reported back in March.

Based on the figures released, 13 persons are now housed in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) whole 510 recoveries have been recorded.

Of the total cases 508 are males while 521 are females. The Ministry claims that 66 persons are in Institutional Isolation while 409 are in Home Isolation.

101 persons are in Institutional Quarantine and the death toll remains at 31. Thus far, 7,234 tests have been administered.
