Guyana’s confirmed COVID-19 cases now stand at 23

Deputy Chief Medical Officer (DCMO), Dr Karen Gordon-Boyle just announced that Guyana’s confirmed COVID-19 cases have risen from 19 to 23.

She made the announcement during the Ministry of Public Health’s daily COVID-19 update.

Guyana recorded 4 deaths as a result of COVID-19. In addition, one person’s test results remain inconclusive while a total of 83 persons have been tested thus far. Some 34 persons are in institutional quarantine while 12 remain in institutional isolation.

According to MOPH 149 persons are known to be quarantined in their homes.

The COVID-19 hotline received a total of 1315 calls thus far.
