A 14-member Guyanese cycling contingent departed for Barbados on Wednesday to compete at the fourth edition of “Tour de Bim”, scheduled for October 1–4.
The travelling party comprises 12 cyclists, team manager Tyrone Hamilton, and mechanic Richard Lewis, with riders drawn from several clubs set to contest the international event.


National road race champion Briton John of We Stand United and national Under-23 champion Ajani Cutting of Kaieteur Attack Racing Cycle Club (KARCC) are among the Guyanese competitors.
KARCC has six cyclists in the contingent: Cutting, Alex Mendes, Andre Greene, Kwame Fortune, Tandeia Noel, and Quincy Ridley. Hamilton and Lewis will provide management and mechanical support during the trip.
Evolution Cycling Club will be represented by Mark Spencer, Christopher Griffith, and Segun Hubbard, while Alexander Leung will compete for Continental Cycling Club. Aaron Newton is listed as representing Foundation.
Tour de Bim is an annual international cycling event that brings Barbadian and overseas riders together for competition across the island.
Three stages are slated for the 2026 edition. The programme includes a male professional and elite category, along with Division Two categories for men, masters, juniors, and women.
The Guyanese contingent is scheduled to return home on October 6.
