Opting to take first strike, Sheridan were restricted to 182 in 50 overs, with Araf Haza (42) being the leading scorer.
In reply, Civics comfortably reached 184-3 in 40 overs to achieve a comprehensive victory. Baker and Krishna Deosarran (52) added 73 runs in the deciding partnership.
The fifty was Baker’s second in as many matches, after making 54 in his first game of the season.
The win snapped the Civics’ four-game losing streak. The season is young and with 11 more games to go in the preliminaries, Civics can still make it to the playoffs.
