A Guyanese and distinguished Toastmaster, Anita Ramprasad, is one of the new recruits that were appointed as the District Director of Toastmasters; one of the highest posts that can be attained when serving a Toastmasters district.
The annual District 81 Conference was held from May 17 to 20, under the theme “Improve, Inspire, Influence” in which district leaders were elected and installed for the upcoming year and comprises of Toastmasters Clubs from various Caribbean countries.
Ramprasad hails from the Macorp Toastmasters Club. She has served her club is various capacities, including President, Vice President (education) and Vice President (membership) and has also served the district as an Area Director and Division Director.
Toastmasters is an international organisation that aims to empower its members to reach the pinnacle of effective communication and leadership.
Guyana has two areas; area 39 comprises of six corporate clubs while area 40 comprises of two corporate clubs.
