The Guyana Oil Company Limited (GuyOil) has announced a reduction in prices for gasoline and gasoil.
The reduction took effect on Friday at 14:00h.The reduction in prices are for the Super 95 Gasoline and gasoil.
For retail, Super 95 Gasoline has been reduced from $224 per litre to $214 per litre; and for Gasoil (LSD), from $217 per litre to $203 per litre.
For wholesale, gasoline has been reduced from $214 per litre to $204 per litre, while gasoil was reduced from $207 per litre to $193 per litre.
GuyOil said these price reductions were possible due to lower acquisition cost.
In announcing the reductions, the Oil Company said it is always cognizant of its role in the Guyana economy and it continuously strives to ensure that quality petroleum products are provided at excellent prices.
