Hawks crush Crows by 204 runs in DCB U13 competition

Half-centuries from Caleb Bastian and Aiyan Persaud powered the DCB Hawks to a commanding 204-run victory over the DCB Crows in the Demerara Cricket Board Developmental Under-13 competition.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Hawks compiled an imposing 261 for six from their allotted 40 overs. They then dismissed the Crows for just 57 in 22 overs, to complete the one-sided win.
Bastian led the Hawks’ batting with 59, striking eight fours, while Persaud contributed 52 with one boundary. Xavier Dodson added a brisk 32, which included six fours, as the Hawks built a challenging total.

Jared Kadir was the Crows’ leading bowler with two wickets for eight runs. Rajesh Kishan, Sudesh Chandra, Karan Khemraj, and Issac Hussain claimed one wicket apiece.
The Crows struggled throughout their reply, with Kyle Dodson’s eight, including one four, being their highest individual score.
Persaud completed a strong all-round performance by collecting two wickets. Ayden Ori and Hamesh Latif also took two wickets each, while Seren Wills, Bastian and Neymar Kissoon picked up one apiece.
