GFF/NAMILCO Thunderbolt Flour Power Nat. U-17 League
Henrietta United FC on account of a walk over from Charity Extreme moved into the second place spot in the points table of the Essequibo leg of the ongoing GFF/NAMILCO Thunderbolt Flour Power National Under-17 League.
The match was scheduled for The Anna Regina Community ground on Saturday but Charity did not show up. Sunday’s match between Mainstay Goal Star and top of the table Queenstown United was not played as of the field not being properly marked, specifically, the 18-yards and 6-yards areas.
Meanwhile, Beacons’ Joshua Jones continues to hit the back of the nets with consistency in the Bartcia leg of the league.
Jones scored all three of his teams’ goals in their 2-1 win over Ballers and a 1-1 draw with Riverview; Emanuel Atherly netted Ballers’ consolation goal while Kellon Richardson responded for Riverview in the drawn match. In latest play, Shairoon Khan blasted the nets in the 26th and 57th minute in leading Lazio to a 2-0 blanking of Agatash FC. Wolves United did not have to break a sweat in taking full points against Potaro Strikers which did not show up.
Riversview were able to rebound to a solid 2-0 win over Rising Stars in their next match thanks to a Kellon Richardson brace which were scored in the 25th and 50th minute. Lazio and Wolves also won via the walk over route from Potaro Strikers Agatash FC, respectively.
