Indian Govt invites participants for Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz

The High Commission of India in Guyana is inviting Indian Diaspora youths to participate in the Government of India’s ‘Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz’.
The quiz has four rounds, two of which will be done online while the third and final round will be held in New Delhi, Indian. The quiz will commence on October 16 and run until October 31. Last date to register for the quiz is October 15. It is open for Indian Diaspora youth across the world between the ages of 15 to 35 years.
The Indian High Commission is urging all NRIs (Non-returning Indians) and PIO/OCI (Persons of Indian Origin) card holders in Guyana, Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis, and Anguilla to register themselves online and make the quiz a grand success.
This is the second edition of the ‘Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz’ for young overseas Indians. The first edition was held in 2015-16.
The quiz is being conducted to motivate overseas Indian youth to enhance their knowledge about India. Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz is open for categories of participants – PIO, NRI and foreign nationals between 15 to 35 years.
Topics of the quiz include Indian art, Indian democracy, economy, geography, personalities in music and dance, science and technology, languages and literature, education, tradition of Indian craft, Indian cinema, and renowned personalities.
The first round of quiz will be executed by the mission abroad, while the other three rounds will be executed by the Ministry in New Delhi.
The second round would be conducted online. The third and fourth round (semi-final and final round) would be organized onsite in New Delhi.
The missions will select the top three contenders in each category (NRI and PIO) by conducting the first round of the quiz competition. The top three contenders/participants of the Mission level quiz competition from each category will participate in the second round of quiz (online) to be conducted by the Ministry in New Delhi.
Top 10 finalists in each category (PIO and NRI) will be selected on the basis of marks secured in the second round and they will be invited to participate in the third round (semi-final) and fourth round (final round) in New Delhi. All participants who are invited for the onsite round would attend the workshop in New Delhi and participate in the Bharat ko Janiye Yatra; a 15-day tour of India.
After Yatra, the final onsite round will be held in New Delhi and the top three winners will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals. Those interested in taking part can register online at www.bharatkojaniye.in.
