The final of leg of the Caribbean Motor Racing Championships (CMRC) is swiftly approaching and Mohammed’s Enterprise will be adding to the adrenaline at the South Dakota Circuit on November 13 by bringing two international motor bikers.
American Byrce Prince and British Matt Truelove will make their debut rides on the circuit and could pose a threat for the local riders.
Byrce Prince
Truelove is a 27 year-old who rides for Astro-TT in the Dickies British Super sport Champion while Prince is MotoAmerica Superstock 600 Champion.
Prince, who was interviewed by MotoAmerica explained that, “One of the owners of the team messaged me on Facebook and just started talking to me from there; they were buying some bikes from Chuck Graves so when they met with Chuck, they came up and met me up here.”
Prince doesn’t know what to expect, though he knows the South Dakota Circuit is small.
Matt Truelove
“I have no idea what to expect,” Prince said. “It’s all going to be a surprise. I think it will be a cool experience. I don’t know how competitive it is to be honest. I don’t know how fast people are down there. The track I’m going to is super small—it’s less than a mile long. It should be interesting. Not sure if that will make it easier or harder with it being that little of a track.”
Prince will get two days of testing on the team’s Yamaha R6.
“It’s all going to be a surprise. I think it will be a cool experience.”
Prince rode a Rider’s Discount/Tuned Racing Yamaha R6 to the 2016 MotoAmerica Superstock 600 Championship, winning nine of the 15 races.
While the riders, from the united States should be a threat for fans, another plot in the day’s proceedings will be which of the Vieira’s will be crowned the CMRC Super Stock Champion.
Matthew Vieira currently leads the standing with 166 points but four-time champion Stephen Vieira is nestled closely in second with 122 points while defending Champion Elliot Vieira is in third on 93.
After the first two rounds, Stephen, used his Kawasaki ZX6R to good effect in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago but a series of unfortunate events hampered his progress in the third leg which was held in Barbados where Matthew stole the show which gave him the 44-point lead.
Matthew, who uses a Yamaha R6 has fond memories of the circuit after being crowned the Super Bike Champion last year and is known to be one of the best riders taking the close corners.
For Stephen, finishing ahead of Matthew in the three races should return him to the pole position while Matthew will know that staying ahead will ultimately give him the coveted title but though the competition seems to be one and two, defending champion Elliot could be the proverbial “spoil sport” of the day.
Elliot looked in good form in Jamaica and then Barbados and has already expressed that we will be push his Kawasaki ZX6R to the maximum in order to secure which could see him walking away with the champion driver for the day
