Jaguars extend lead ahead of Hurricanes clash

Guyana Jaguars two successive victories in the 2017/2018 Cricket West Indies (CWI) Digicel 4-day Championship has seen them extending a healthy lead in the points standing ahead of their third round clash against Leeward Hurricanes.

Jaguars have a 9.8-point lead of second place Hurricanes who are the only team to defeat the three-time champions twice in one season over the last three years which makes the contest starting on Thursday one that might be keenly contested at Warner Park.
Based on reports, Shivnarine Chanderpaul has replaced Akshaya Persaud in the squad that won against Windward Islands Volcanoes on Saturday in St Lucia.
