Jiwanram eyeing podium finish

GMR&SC National Race of Champions…

Sport Tuner (1500 cc) competitor Paul Jiwanram is confident his Suzuki Swift 1.3L can withstand the pressures of race day and gave him a podium finish when the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC) host their National Race of Champions on April 2 at the South Dakota Circuit.

Jiwanram in speaking to Guyana Times Sport expressed his excitement o27ver the upcoming meet stating that “fans can come out and watch as I put on a fight for the podium spot; I will be staying focus on winning and utilizing the full potential of the car”.
He added that “preparations are coming along great, the guys put in allot of work and we should be at the track on Wednesday to practice”.
The team ER racing driver whose teammates, Daniel Deokie, Azaad Hassan, Troy Muir and Davin Panday will also be gunning for top spot, is hoping that his machine works according to plan.
“For this meet we will just be focusing on getting the car to work properly, last November was bitter sweet for me as we developed mechanical problems with the engine and I had to retire from the event with just a few laps in but I rather it happen in a race than me not competing at all”, the race car driver stated.
Jiwanram disclosed that his team is currently building another car which should be finish in time for the mega November race meet.
