Joseph to represent Guyana at Masters Track World Championships

Veteran cyclist James Joelyn Joseph will represent Guyana at the 2026 International Cycling Union (UCI) Masters Track World Championships in London, United Kingdom, from October 5–11, the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF) has announced.

Joseph is completing his final preparations for another appearance on the international stage, with the federation expressing confidence in his ability to challenge for a world championship medal.
The GCF praised his longstanding contribution to cycling, describing him as a dedicated ambassador whose consistent performances, determination and passion for the track have earned respect at home and abroad.
His participation will see him once again carry the Golden Arrowhead into international competition, backed by the federation’s executive and local cycling supporters.
A GCF representative said Joseph’s perseverance reflected the spirit of Guyanese cycling and noted that he had represented the country proudly over many years. The representative also expressed confidence that the veteran would give the nation another performance to be proud of in London.
The federation extended its best wishes as Joseph prepares for the championships, saying the local cycling community would follow his campaign with excitement and hopes of a medal for Guyana.
