Julio Sinclair proud of regaining ‘strongman’ title at StrongFest in Barbados

…Now focused on Mr Guyana competition

A standout in the contingent that represented Guyana at StrongFest in Barbados earlier this month was Julio Sinclair, that tall, hulking strongman with an imposing physique, who, with another local Hercules, Carlos “The Show Stopper” Peterson-Griffith, participated in the strongman and powerlifting categories in that competition.

The highlight of that competition for Sinclair was bagging the first place in the “strongman” competition, thus regaining his title.
In the “powerlifting” segment of the competition, Sinclair’s placement results were as follows: Squat: 3rd; Bench Press: 2nd; Deadlift: 3rd; giving him a total of third place overall.
He then went on to dominate the strongman event, taking first place over his fellow countryman Carlos “The Show Stopper” Peterson-Griffith, who copped second.

Sinclair will now shift his attention to the Mr Guyana Competition, set for December, 2022

In an interview with this publication, this human behemoth was asked what he thought of the results of the competition, and he responded as follows: “Well, the results were good; it was a good competition, as the competitors were all there to win, so I had to put my best foot forward, with all the training I did for the strongman competition. So, I feel pretty confident, I feel well, and I am happy that I regained the strongman title.”
Sinclair relayed that the competition in Barbados was not what he had expected. He has acknowledged that he ‘did receive a challenge’ from one of the competitors, but he has opined that the rest of the competition was a proverbial walk in the park.
“I am ready to find some competition where the competitors are very much in their zones and their levels are my kind of standards, so they can give me a good competition,” he shared.
Sinclair, further, went on to note that next on the agenda for him is the competition in December dubbed “Mr Guyana”, and he said this means he will now have to start his preparation. He explained that he is aiming to win the Mr Guyana title, and while the date for that epic event has not yet been set, he is preparing his body for ‘the competition’.
Sinclair closed this interview by stating that he is grateful to everyone who has played a part in his success at the competition in Barbados.
