Kady Kish – a rising Guyanese soca star

Kishana “Kady Kish” Ferguson is a Guyanese singer/songwriter who was born on February 21, 1999. She first performed for an audience at her nursery school graduation. She continued throughout her school life, dancing and singing at school events.

In Fourth Form, she entered the school’s Mashramani competition. The songstress placed first at the regional and national levels, impressing someone who would later influence her singing career.
Remo Bowen, owner of the Fame Band – the band that backed her performance at the school’s Mashramani competition – offered her a place in the band which could only be obtained after she had completed her secondary education. Five months after completing CSEC, Bowen contacted the singer and soon after she claimed her position as a vocalist in the band.
He saw the potential of his band members and wanted to propel their careers further, thus he encouraged them to record their own music. “Kish” as she is fondly referred, was introduced to music producer and Chief Executive Officer of DP Records, Darrell Pugsley, with whom she collaborated to produce the song “Pressure Wine” – her very first record and one she wrote.
She made her solo career debut on February 21, 2017, at Stag Stage; coincidentally on her birthday. Her performance created the kind of buzz every artiste hopes for.
She left her audience satisfied but thirsty. After that performance she was asked by the show’s promoter to perform the following night at the international version of the event where she created an even bigger buzz, going on the perform for other audiences and major events throughout Guyana.
“Kish” has released other songs including “How I Do It”, “Be Wise and Rise” and her most recent “Without You”, produced by Darrell Pugsley. She is in the studio recording more music for her fans which she is anxious to release. The singer songwriter is determined to have a long-lived music career thus she is taking time to learn her new environment and keep in sync with its ever evolving features. She is currently managed by the DP Records label.
