But not only does the pugilist talk the talk, he walks the walk too. For the 2016 season, Allicock has competed in the Lennox Blackmoore Intermediate Boxing Tournament where he earned the title best boxer of his category (Bantamweight youth) after some aggressive punches lead to the victory where the referee intervening and ending the match against Albert Thomas in just two minutes.
Allicock then toured to Suriname in November where he won via technical knockout.
The 17 year-old wonder kid grew a passion for the sport as did majority of his 18 brothers, as he hails from the popular Allicock family in Albouystown. However, the prospect of this young man is not surprisingly bright as he has harnessed his skills to a level safely better than his brothers.
While some of his brothers have had their share of troubles with the law, this role model for a lot of the community is admirable with the fact that he does not endeavor into illegal acts, drinking nor smoking but rather spends his spare time in the gym preparing himself for an imminent glory.
Allicock said that all he has accomplished so far is thanks to the Almighty and he continues to serve him wholeheartedly as he guides him to his destiny.
The skills of the young man have attracted the attention of both President of the Guyana Boxing Association Steve Ninvalle and Coach Sebert Blake.
Ninvalle said “Keevin is one of our best prospects, he is disciplined, has ring craft and is an Olympic hopeful” while Blake is working tirelessly with the young man.
