Keisha Gibbons wins GuyOil’s 50th Anniversary Jingle Contest 

Keisha Gibbons emerged as the first-place winner of the Guyana Oil Company Limited (GuyOil) 50th Anniversary Jingle Competition. GuyOil recognised the outstanding creativity and musical talent of the first, second and third place winners of its 50th Anniversary Jingle Competition during a prize presentation ceremony held at its Head Office Boardroom in Georgetown on Friday. The competition is part of the activities commemorating GuyOil’s 50th anniversary. The company invited members of the public to create original jingles celebrating the company’s legacy, values and commitment to “Excellence in Service”.

Winners: first place, Keisha Gibbons; second place, Joel Weeks; and third place, Venus Messiah

Following a rigorous judging process, the winners were announced as first place, Keisha Gibbons, winning $300,000; second place, Joel Weeks, winning $250,000; and third place, Venus Messiah, who won $150,000. During the ceremony, General Manager (GM) Molly Hassan congratulated the winners and thanked all participants for their enthusiasm and exceptional contributions.
“The creativity and passion demonstrated through this competition have been truly inspiring. These entries reflect not only musical talent but also the strong connection that Guyanese have with the GuyOil brand. As we celebrate 50 years of service to the nation, we are proud to support and recognise local talent,” Hassan said. The winning jingles were played during the ceremony, giving attendees an opportunity to experience the creativity that earned each participant top honours. The Jingle Competition is one of several initiatives being held as part of GuyOil’s 50th anniversary celebrations, reaffirming the company’s enduring commitment to innovation, customer engagement and excellence in service.
