Kempadoo’s century leads Port Mourant to innings win over Whim

A classy century from Ezekiel Kempadoo helped his team Port Mourant Cricket Club to a massive innings and 205-run victory over neighbours Whim in the New York Business Group (NYGB) two-innings Under-19 cricket competition, organised by the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) and sponsored through Albion Cricket Club.
Batting first after winning the toss at the Whim ground, Port Mourant amassed 270-7 wickets declared with Kempadoo scoring an unbeaten 102. He got support from Veramootoo Senwasane with 44, Jamar Lancaster 31 and Vivekanand Jagjit 29.
Bowling for Whim, M Charran took 3-122. In reply, the host was bundled out for an embarrassing 65 with Charran and N Deonarine offering any resistance with 25 and 23 respectively. Bowling for Port Mourant, Kevin Latiff took 3-14 and Emanuel Seecharran 2-24.
Forced to follow on, Whim failed to begin their second innings, thus forfeiting the game.
