ꟷ Justice (retd) Cecil Kennard thanks sponsors for supporting the Boxing Day Meet

Justice (retd) Cecil Kennard, who administers the affairs of the Kennard Memorial Turf Club (KMTC), speaking to Guyana Times Sport in relation to the KMTC’s activities for this new year, first took the time to extend his gratitude to the sponsors of the highly successful Boxing Day horse meet, which had filled the facility to its capacity and had featured some high-profile racing events.

He thereafter disclosed that the club’s first event for this year will take place on March 29. It will be a major event, he said, and would be followed by the May 31 horse meet; after which the August 2 event will follow, then the October 25 race.
He said the main event would be the December 26 Boxing Day event.
Justice (retd) Kennard was at pains to express his deep gratitude to all the club’s sponsors and patrons over the years, but he especially singled out the following entities as recipients of his deep gratitude:
Metro Office Supplies, for again sponsoring the feature event at the Boxing Day Meet, putting up approximately two million dollars and a trophy.
