Kennards Memorial Emancipation horse race set for August 2

The Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club will host an Emancipation horse race meet on Sunday, August 2 at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, Berbice.
Seven races are on the provisional programme, and close to GY$10 million in cash and prizes will be up for the taking. The feature race will be the Emancipation Cup, open to all three-year-old and older horses. That feature race will be running at one mile with a total purse of GY$2 million.
Other races on the cards include the E Class non-winner open to F & G Class, the three-year-old Guyana-bred maidens and three-year-old Guyana-bred winners of one race, H Class and lower, J & K Class, L Class Open, and the two-year-old Guyana-bred maidens.

Horse racing action will return to Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club on August 2

All races will run under the rules of the Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club. Entries for this race opened on July 7 and will close on July 19.
Notably, all stakeholders’ entry payments & signatures of trainers & jockeys on the entry form for the Kennard Memorial Turf Club Emancipation Cup Race Meet will be at the following locations with commentator John Rupert.

Sunday, July 12, at Port Mourant Turf Club from 06:00h to 11:00h
Friday, July 17, at Kennard Memorial Turf Club from 07:00h to 11:00h
Saturday, July 18, at Bushlot United Turf Club from 06:00h to 11:00h
Sunday, July 19, at Port Mourant Turf Club from 06:00h to 11:00h
Sunday, July 19, at Kennard Memorial Turf Club from 13:00h to 17:00h
