KPMG Guyana Inc has launched its service in Guyana with a cocktail reception on Wednesday evening with the primary focus on providing advisory services in the healthcare, Government, infrastructure, and financial services sectors, as well as tax advisory services in the public and private sectors.
KPMG Guyana Inc is part of KPMG Islands Group, a regional member firm within the KPMG global network of professional services firms. The firm’s first employee to be based permanently in Guyana is its Chief Operating and Business Development Officer Michael Outar, who over time will build a team based in the country.

At the launching ceremony, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KPMG Islands Group and Chair of the KPMG Guyana Inc. board Neale Jehan said, “We were honoured to have Minister Singh and so many special guests attend our event and are deeply grateful for the warm welcome we have received in Guyana.
“KPMG Islands Group has a long history in our other territories; in some instances, we have lived and worked in those communities for over 100 years, and we are taking the same long-term view of our presence here in Guyana.”
Alongside its on-the-ground presence, KPMG in Guyana is part of the KPMG member firm network, which operates in 138 countries and territories with nearly 300,000 professionals worldwide.
In addition, local organisations can benefit from the firm’s global alliances, which include leading technology, data and services companies, such as Google Cloud, Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce and SAP.

Outar, during his brief remarks, stated, “I am very excited to return to my Guyanese roots and about the future of our firm here. The recent launch was a milestone for KPMG in Guyana. I am sure we will have many more to come as we continue to meet local leaders in the public and private sectors. We are here to listen and learn, and over time we hope that organisations in Guyana can benefit from the collective talent, expertise, and commitment of KPMG people from across the region and beyond.”
The event was attended by Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh and other senior members of the KPMG Islands Group’s leadership team.
