La Penitence man charged for robbing Soesdyke residents
Stavo Evons, a 35-year-old labourer of Middle Road, La Penitence, Georgetown, was arrested on Thursday and charged on Friday with two counts of armed robbery committed on Nitisha Klass and Kevin Frazer on the Soesdyke Public Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD), on Tuesday last.

The accused was arraigned on Friday before Principal Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Golden Grove/Diamond Magistrate’s Court, and he pleaded not guilty to both charges. He was refused bail,
and has been remanded to prison until October 31, when the matters will be called again.
