Riyad Latiff’s century and Ntini Permaul’s quick-fire half-century highlighted another exciting round of matches in the Sherwin Williams Second Division T20 Cup.
The biggest win of the round came from Transport Sports Club (TSC), who defeated Police All-Star Academy by 67 runs after posting 201 for four from their 20 overs.
Latiff led the batting with 106 from 61 balls, including 10 fours and seven sixes. Jeremiah Hohenkirk and Emmanuel Lewis both added 34, while Darwin Larose took two for the Academy.

In reply, Police All-Star Academy reached 134 for eight from their allotted overs. Ravindradat Budhram made 45 and Troy Benn scored 49, but the target proved too difficult. Reyaz Latiff then starred with the ball, taking four for 14 to complete a strong all-round performance by TSC.
At the Police Sports Club (PSC) Ground, PSC defeated Guyana Defence Force (GDF) by five wickets under the Duckworth/Lewis method in a rain-affected contest.
After winning the toss and batting first, GDF made 120 for five in 18.2 overs before rain stopped play. Neil Persaud top-scored with an unbeaten 38 from 22 balls, while Leon Andrews made 24 and Shamal Angel added 16. Mark Jeffers claimed two for 19 for PSC.

Setting a revised target, PSC reached 104 for five in 14.4 overs. Andrew Lyte led the chase with 46, while Pernell London supported with 28.
Elsewhere, Eldorado Cricket Club recorded a 23-run victory over Sophia.
Batting first after winning the toss, Eldorado posted 131 for seven. Ntini Permaul struck a quick 60 from 29 balls with six fours and three sixes, while Elnathan Suknandeo made 17. Tyriq Walters took two for 12 for Sophia.
Sophia were then bowled out for 108 in 15.5 overs. Joshua Grant top-scored with 25 from 14 balls, and Malcolm Morris made 18, but regular wickets hurt the chase. Akeem Williams and Yogendra Singh both took two wickets for Eldorado.
